My Role: Create graphic layouts for a menu, brochure, and table tent while abiding by the brand's style guide. Once completed, the series was exported to files for print and digital use.

Intended Audience: The project was geared towards locals and tourists in the San Diego area who enjoy upscale Chinese cuisine. These demographics include business professionals and executives, food enthusiasts who appreciate fine dining, those celebrating special occasions, tourists exploring a diverse culinary experience, and those interested in Chinese culture.while keeping up with the upscale brand image.

Strategy and Concept: I wanted to keep the menu and table tent simple and elegant with a clean and classy look to project the image of an upscale dining experience. The brochure has a content-rich approach that includes images, products, and services and a call to action section to entice new customers and showcase other services the brand offers in addition to in-house dining.

Reasons for Decisions: The series needed a strategic approach to branding and marketing. Targeting a variety of audiences with different visual communication approaches, I needed to meet the expectations of the audiences to deliver engaging experiences and exploration while keeping up with the upscale brand image.

Intended Audience: Catered to locals and travelers staying at The Silver Spur Resort in rural East Texas, aiming to create a welcoming and thematic dining experience for all age groups.

Strategy and Concept: Incorporated rustic, western-inspired design elements like distressed textures, vintage fonts, and sepia tones to reflect the restaurant’s western aesthetic. The kids’ menu featured engaging activities like coloring and puzzles, ensuring a family-friendly experience, while the beverage and main menus emphasized authenticity and a down-to-earth appeal.

Activities on the kids’ menu engage younger diners, enhancing their experience. Strategy and Concept: The high contrast color palette of white, black, and red represents assertiveness, dominance, passion, and energy to promote the store and products of having power, strength, and endurance. For visual association with sports, I included a star symbol, which is widely recognized within the sports community, as professional teams and sports networks use it. The “All Stars” typography appeals to the younger demographic with its trendy appearance of playfulness while  communicating a sense of boldness and assertiveness. The capitalized sans-serif typeface of “Sporting Goods” portrays confidence and consistency that is associated with an athlete’s mindset and appears familiar to all ages due to its boldness and simplicity.
